Two New Honda Models Features on Cars.com American-Made Index

Every year, Cars.com compiles a list of the vehicles that are produced in here in the US and that make use of the highest volume of domestically-sourced parts. This list is named "American-Made Index," and it allows drivers to see if the purchase of their new car is really helping the American economy. In a time like this, many consumers are choosing to buy local products in order to help boost the economy. 

Tom Scott Honda is proud to sell two vehicles that made this list! The Honda Accord and Honda Pilot are two new Honda models which cracked the top ten list, which disproves the myth that only the Detroit Three can produce American-made cars. Honda has always been known for their reliability and safety, but their only knock was the location they were being produced. With the Honda Pilot and Accord making this list, we expect the upward trend in sales to continue. 

The 2012 Accord is produced in Marysville, Ohio, and is built with 80 percent domestically-sourced parts. The Pilot, on the other hand, is made in Lincoln, Alabama, and utilizes 75 percent domestically-sourced parts.
