So far this year, Honda sales are already up a healthy 18 percent in comparison to last year. And while the recovery last year's devastating earthquake and tsunami that triggered parts and production shortages around the world certainly attributes to that number, there are more than a few new 2012 - 2013 Honda models available to drivers in the greater Nampa area that are boosting sales as well.

For instance, the 2012 Honda CR-V has been completely redesigned, and it's well on its way to surpassing its previous sales record in 2007 of 219,000 units. Thus far, its sales are up 33.9 percent in comparison to last year. Meanwhile, the strongest selling vehicle in the automaker's lineup is actually the 2012 Honda Civic compact car.

Meanwhile, the biggest contributor to Honda sales this year hasn't even arrived at Tom Scott Honda quite yet. That would be the all-new 2013 Honda Accord. The completely redesigned mid-size sedan has been drawing quite a bit of buzz in the automotive world. So much so, in fact, that Honda is now raising its sales forecast from 1.2 million units for the year to 1.3 million.

We here at Tom Scott Honda are impressed with this bold goal, and we're thrilled to see if Honda can reach it by the end of the year. And you can bet everyone at 603 11th Ave. North Nampa, ID 83687 will be keeping a close eye on the automaker's sales as the year continues on.
