We here at Tom Scott Honda couldn't wait to get all the official details on the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer that is going to debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany next month, but the automaker gave us a great surprise a few days ago. Ahead of schedule, we've been given a sneak peek of the Tourer, both with pictures and details of what it will offer, even though it is a European-exclusive.
This wagon is gorgeous, first and foremost. With line and glasswork tweaks, along with a wagon body, the lower load height and higher floor give this Tourer a more muscular appearance over the Civic coupe and sedan. Foldable rear seats make this a great car for hauling cargo around, whatever it may be; 58.9 cubic feet total with the rear seats down, to be exact. There's even some extra below-floor storage space, when you really need the extra room.
You've got two engine choices for when you flip up the hood. A 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine can be chosen, or the Earth Dreams 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine are your options. You also have the choice of automatic or manual transmission, regardless of engine.
There's still so much more to learn. Keep an eye out for our Frankfurt Auto Show posts we'll be doing next month to talk about all the cool stuff being shown off, right here in our blog. If you've got a new Honda in our current lineup you'd like to take a closer look at, come down to our Nampa, ID dealership and get a hands-on experience you aren't sure to forget.
