Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda, said it best when he responded to the safety ratings given to the 2013 Honda Civic, stating, "Safety ratings leadership across product lines is a fundamental part of not only our strategic business plan, but also our philosophy as a company."1. Truer words couldn't be said and all of us at Tom Scott Honda are extremely proud of the accomplishment.

Every single one of our tested 2013 models earned very high safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but the 2013 Civic came out above all else. Earning the highest possible safety ratings from both the IIHS as well as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Civic Coupe and Sedan are the first and only small cars to earn such ratings.

The IIHS rating it achieved was TOP SAFETY PICK+. To get such a designation, the vehicle must score "GOOD" on every test it endures, including the new small overlap frontal crash test. The NHTSA awarded it with the 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score through their New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). If you're a proud owner of the 2013 Civic, now is the time to start bragging.

If you're not part of the Honda family, come on down to our Nampa, ID dealership and take a look at the current lineup. We'll show you around the new Honda models, answer all your questions, and make sure you go home with a smile on your face, no matter your decision.
