The SEMA Show is all wrapped up in Las Vegas, and we here at Tom Scott Honda introduced you earlier this month here on our blog to the customized sporty Civic Coupe that was revealed there. As our brand puts the bright lights of Vegas in their rearview mirror they have another big city in their sights next, that being Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Auto Show kicks off tomorrow, and on Wednesday November 20th, Honda will unveil their FCEV Concept under the glamorous lights of Hollywood.
This will be the world debut for the new concept, and it will be highlighted by Honda's new revolutionary fuel-cell electric technology.
Mike Accavitti, the senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co. Inc., spoke in advance of the show about this concept, saying: "The Honda FCEV Concept demonstrates the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles. As we work toward the introduction of our next-generation fuel-cell vehicle in 2015, our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way towards a zero-emissions future."1
Honda has always been on the forefront of fuel cell technology, and the FCX Clarity is currently being driven by a select few drivers across the country. This vehicle contains the next-generation technology, and we believe the new FCEV will only build upon what has already been produced.
In addition to the debut of the FCEV concept, the updated 2014 Civic will make an appearance on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Hopefully soon these vehicles will be available in our inventory of new Honda cars serving the Nampa, Idaho region. In the meantime come check out what we already offer, our dealership is conveniently located a few short blocks away from Lakeview Water Park.
