Five vehicles have been picked at the finalists for Green Car Journal's high-profile program, the 2014 Green Car of the Year honor, and our favorite Japanese automaker has found one of their new Honda models nestled snugly in this top-five, ready and capable of being crowned king of the eco-friendly mountain.
Awarded every year at the LA Auto Show, this year's selection of vehicle eligible for the honor was bigger than ever: a resounding testimony to the efforts of the automotive industry to become and stay as green as possible while still offering drivers like you plenty of options and alternatives.
Even cooler is that, no matter who is victorious in this program, all five will still walk away with two honors. One, they'll all be listed in Green Car Journal's "Top 5 Green Cars for 2014" list and, two, they'll earn the lauded designation of "Green Car Product of Excellence."
And now, what you've all been waiting for, is the car that has made the finals. It is, of course, the 2014 Honda Accord.
