Never before seen on North American soil is a Honda Civic with five doors. The Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe have been two of the most exciting new cars released in the past few years. The excitement building around the all-new 2017 Civic Hatchback, however, is palpable. With a 1.5-liter DOHC turbocharged direct-injected engine, the Civic Hatchback will put out some serious horsepower. The real reason we are all in awe, however, is that this new Civic just may be the coolest five-door car ever.

There are plenty of hatchbacks on the roads of Nampa, Idaho, today. It is the sharp body lines and aerodynamic profile of the 2017 Civic Hatchback, however, that make this new vehicle stand out from the crowd. If you remember back to 1976, the first Honda Accord model to come to North America was also a five-door hatchback. We all know the success the Accord subsequently had. Is the all-new Civic Hatchback similarly destined for greatness? We think so, and when the car gets released this fall in Idaho and the rest of North America, we will all know for sure.
