Happy humpday, folks. Did you know that way back Wednesday is a thing? It's like throwback Thursday or flashback Friday. And for this one, we're looking back at "Tips for Staying Safe During the Summer Driving Season," a Huffington Post blog entry from back in June of 2014. We find the post's information to be relevant and timely, since summer is almost here.
"According to recent Department of Transportation data," it begins, "summer — not winter as many might expect — is the most dangerous driving season. Eighteen percent more fatal accidents occurred during the summer months of June through August in 2012 compared to the winter months of December through February. Multiple factors contribute to this spike in crashes including increased road congestion due to vacation travel and a rise in road work."
