The kind of oil you use in your vehicle depends on a number factors. It depends on how long you want to keep your vehicle running and it also depends on your driving style. Using a synthetic oil in your car ensures that it will get the lubrication, protection, and performance that it needs to function at peak performance. The better the quality of oil you use in your car is, the longer it is to last. You can skimp on the quality of oil to save a couple of bucks now and then but it will cost you in the long run. A conventional oil is sometimes all you need, as in the case of the late-model, low-mileage vehicle. If you rarely drive your vehicle or if you're at least easy on it, then you don't really need a full synthetic oil, but it never hurts to go up a grade.
